Where might I find your web page? I wanted to show a buddy of mine your drift boat.

Looks like Drifter may be pre-disposed. Maybe he won't mind if I respond to you. Click on "Resources" in the column to the left of the screen. Then click on "The virtual fish camp" at "Resources". Go to the bottom of the page and click on "The Drift Boat". He also has links there to some of the kit makers. Ole Man

Bill,
The Ole Man has it right. I've been puttin' in some long hours the past couple of days. I haven't had a chance to check my email in two days.
There is another good driftboat site at:
http://www.cns.net/jpeasley/driftboat.html
This page goes into more detail than mine. But then again, that site doesn't have the nifty graphics and music http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/wink.gif

How right you are. I enjoyed your site. How do you find the time? We fished from a driftboat when I went to Montana. What an enjoyable experience. One of the guys with us had his new boat he picked up in Oregon. Mahoghanny of all things. We even talked someone into manning the oars. How bout that? You sound like you would be the one to ask this. My friend, the one that we talked into rowing, is looking to become the rep for Wilie boats in this area. Do you know anything about this, or anyone that is already doing something like this? He just called me about it this morning, so it is still in the "dream" stage. Thank you again. Billy

Bill,
I believe Willie Boats are made of aluminum. I could be wrong. Most of the boats I've seen down South are fiberglass, with wood running a distant second. Probably because of the ease of repairing fiberglass.
I think a local dealer would be an excellent idea. I don't know if a driftboat dealer could "stand alone" in the South. He/she would probably have to carry other boats as well to pay the bills.
Most driftboat manufacturers are out west which generally adds to the cost of a boat on the East coast (shipping charges). This is the main reason I ordered a kit.
