I received my flies from the swap today and man was that really cool! They are all awesome! What a great thing! THANK YOU Drifter for putting this on - you did such an awesome job and I am sure everyone appreciates it! As a very wise fisherman once told me and now I must p****on to you....
"You have been cannonized as a saint by Deacon Brown and Brother Rainbow of the Church of the Flowing Waters."

Looking forward to the Caddis Swap!

I also recieved my flies last night, the wife and kids joined as I checked them out one at a time. Funny, they never took much interest in my tying before, but you should have heard all the ooo's and ah's. Thanks to everyone for the wonderful flies you all did a great job, and a very special thanks to Drifter for setting this whole thing up. Can't wait for the caddis swap!

Amen! Thank you, Drifter. Mine showed up yesterday, too. You won't find some of these at the fly shop. I'm so proud of `em, I don't want to fish with them! But I know I will - maybe I can dupe a few before I do. But Drifter, ya gotta share a little more info on that lacquered body for the Yellow Jacket.

Drifter -- Mine arrived tonight and I'm almost inclined to frame them and put them on permanent display. Maybe next time we ought to send two -- one to fish and one to keep.

Everyone, and I mean everyone, did a super job. But special thanks to you, Drifter, for planting the seed, tilling the soil, and gathering the harvest. We were all winners as a result. Now, I'm really looking forward to the Caddis Swap.

Thanks to all of you!!!

WOW! x 1000
These flies are terrific. Can't wait to see the tying instructions--got a few figured out but I can tell you, some of these will become standards for my flybox!!

Thanks Drifter and everybody. Bring on the caddis.

(Drifter types this message with an enlarged head)

The particpants are the ones that made it work.....Thank you all.

Some of you mentioned that you don't want to fish with the flies. No, No, No. Fish with them all. If you need another and can't duplicate, invite the tier over or trade some flies for flies. The email addresses are posted and included with the fly, so USE the flies.

Besides, you'll polish your skills when duplicating another's pattern.

Check the 1st Annual NGTO Swap Page to see a photo of Loren's fly. Click on the photo to link to the page about the Soft Hackle he tied. I want to do a page like this for everyone. Please email me your recipe and short story if you haven't done so. Also send me a (optional)photo of yourself or email a j-peg or gif photo. I want to post your mug on the page. Some of you have already done so.

Also check the Caddis Swap 1999 page to see if your name is listed. If it is not, email me Quick! It's filling up fast. I've got more to say but my head is kinda scrambled right now. Tight lines,
