Thank you, all who sent me mean, nasty e-mails, and ill-willed, childish responses. I simply thought this board was for the sharing of information. I never asked anyone to give up their secret places. I asked if a specific boat ramp was the one to use and got what I thought was a vague answer. I am not skilled enough to " fish out" the largest river in the state, despite my reputation. ( haha )
Thank you to those of you who legitimately tried to expain the thought process involved. I can't believe the mean responses I got. "Verbal diarrhea"??? Get real! I must say that the meanest responses came from folks I had'nt seen much since I joined the board 3 mths. ago. Next time I feel the need to raise someone's awareness about the way they treat others, I'll prob. keep my mouth shut. Prob.

From now on, I will only help thise that do not threaten the waters within 100 miles of me. ( not. )

hmmmm, didn't think my email or postings were mean spirited. I wasn't defending any position other than my own as well. Again--you tell anyone anything you want--don't expect me to do the same. Same as--us support any cause you like, but don't tell me to empty my pockets--or catch and release--you keep or kill whatever you like, but don't tell me what to put on or keep off my table.

Jeff, you have my support 100%. My god guys, there's nothing wrong with a little dirrection every once in a while. A private email isn't posted in the AJC for everyone to see. If someone has stumbled into your secret spot don't let him know it. The trick to keeping your spots secret in the gulf is to act like your trolling and 95% of the time people will run right by and never see the structure under them. Just because there is somewhere nere doesn't meen he knows what the hell he's looking at. And to yell at the person if he does find it is illogical because remeber, you had to find it too.(maby with a little help on the side)

Jeff - please don't suppress your opinions, I appreciate anyones viewpoint - even if it is an unpopular one in some cases....what good would this board be if we couldn't agree to disagree. And remember, if you feel a certain way about an issue, there is always others who share your view. You are an asset to the board.

Jeff -- I wonder if you took my suggestion to check out this subject in the archives. If not, please do so, I think it will be interesting, educational and enlightening and may give you some idea about where different people are coming from.

It was an intelligent and reasoned discussion and it virtually boiled down to the fact that whether you reveal secret spots or not is a personal decision that each of us makes individually and there's no right or wrong.

Sometimes you reap what you sow.
