Greetings all!

The hubby took me trout fishing for the first time this spring, and I'm hooked. We'll be camping at Vogel soon, and would appreciate any insider suggestions of good streams in the area. He prefers natives, but I'm such a newbie, I just enjoy whatever the day brings.

I know this is top-secret information, not posted on the board, so any emails would be appreciated!

Oh yeah-forgot to add-

We don't like a lot of company, we do wade and walk, but don't climb very well.

Hey charm, I started fishing that area about 10-11 years ago. We initially camped at Vogel and drove to Coopers Creek each day to fish. Then we realized there are campsites along the creek and we started camping there. When you leave Vogel, take a left out of the park and then another almost immediate left on to 180. Follow that until you pass Lake Winfield Scott. Just past the lake take a sharp right, I think it is called Coopers Creek road. You will pass some houses and then the pavement ends. Follow the dirt road a couple of miles. Look for an almost hairpin turn on the right. This will lead you to the creek. People usually camp here but you can walk up or down the creek and it is usually not as crowded as some of the sites in the WMA closer to 60. Also in the area are Rock Creek and Noontoola. I believe Noontoola is artificial only and it is a tough wade/walk due to heavy brush on the banks.

Good Luck!
