Has anyone heard yet what the regulations for the new delayed harvest area are going to be? For instance- what days will it be open to fishing(every day or just certain days like Dukes), how many anglers per day, will there be an additional fee besides the $2 park pass, etc. Will it be stocked at the beginning of the delayed harvest season?

Does anyone know how long a stretch of stream it is below the Unicoi dam? I've seen it but never fished it. If this thing turns out to be as popular as the Nantahala it's going to be woefully inadequate as far as the size of the stream goes. But hopefully, this is just a beginning.

I fished smiths creek on 11-01-98 and the water was real low.I met a ranger who told me that they had just stocked with breeder fish and regular stokers. He also noted that the creek can be fished to about 1.5 miles below unicoi lake dam. Single hook artifical only, does not have to be barbless.Cost two bucks and thats it.I think you can fish any day of the week we went on a sunday.Saw alot of fish they were real spooky.
