Outstanding! First cast brought a 16-17 inch Bow.
Caught another dozen or more, all bows.
Y2K's and Buggers were the ticket. Fished from the Steel Bridge downstream a couple of hundred yards. It appears Dawson Forest is open for deer season at the time, due to several trucks parked and a few hunters milling about-so wear your orange if you venture far into the woods! I did not have anything bright on so I limited my travels. I would not want to be mistaken as a bambi.

Hey RR, Just to add to your post, I fished in the am at the 53 Bridge. It was a marvelous morning. The fish I caught were also much larger then the snits from previous years. I used an Olive WB, with a copper john ( recommended to me by Pete Holland last spring at the water quality meeting, <thank you Pete> smile.gif )as a dropper and also a strike indicator. To make my day even more special I met Bill Oyster, who was taking a few moments off on a gorgeous day from making bamboo rods. The trees, leaves and water were absolutely beautiful.

If anybody has gone to Ami recently, please post what patterns are working and how the fishing is at Steele Bridge and at 53. I'm thinking about going up there this weekend...hopefully the water will clear up quickly...
