The Date for the Kids Fishing Day will be on Saturday May 22nd from 9:00am to 12:00pm. All the information will be available on a web page that you can access for the home page.

This is going to be one of the bigger events that NGTO has or will do and we could really use a good number of volunteer's to help out in all area's on the day of the event. Setup will start around 6:00am and the fishing will get under way at 9:00am. I need a few people to start at 6:00am with the setup and a good number of you to start at around 8:00am. We need people to help with setting up fishing poles, handing out bait, casting instructions, safty instructions, and some other general task's involved with basic trout fishing.

This is a great program that we are involved in here which teaches the kids basic fishing and conservation skills. This is a great chance for NGTO to get involved with the kids that will be pushing forth the conservation on our lake's, river's, and streams in the near future. I believe we all have something we can offer and your help would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone that would like to help out please e-mail me at events@georgia-outdoors.com

Thank you in advance...... http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif

I've been involved with kids fishing day along with TU in the past.
I think it is important that you know that a lot of the kids that show are children of single mom families. Alot of single moms bring their children to this event I think to expose their children to some activities that they might know how to do themselves, but know it is important to learn.
It is amazing how truely appreciative the children and the parents are of this event.
Please, if you have the time come share some of your knowledge.

I don't see why not...Its open to the public after 12:00. I would suggest waiting till all the kids are done...There might be some that fish a little longer than 12:00.

I think that it will go on rain or shine. Have the rain gear ready just in case.
