Charlie's Creek enters the Tallulah River just below the middle camp ground, Tate Branch. The Rabun Chapter of TU and the USFS will be installing some cover logs and pulling maintenance on other structures, in Charlie's headwaters, Saturday, May 15th, beginning about 8:30. Getting there is a little complicated, but: you can cross the Tallulah River at the mouth of Charlie, following the creek all the way to FS 72, turn north (right) and continue to the end of the road.
The other approach is from Hwy 76, turning north on Hightower Mountain Rd, continue, keeping right when the road forks, through Blue Ridge Gap, turn north on FS 72 and go to the end of the road.
Some members of the chapter plan to camp out at the work site on Friday night. You can also camp at one of the Tallulah River CG's. All trout lovers welcome!
