Can anyone post detailed directions for meeting for the early morning fishing outing?
I'd sure hate to get lost if I get up at 2 AM to get there.
Can't promise anything, but may try to do it.

285 to Peachtree Industrial north...After the Jimmy Carter exit the road will split...Take Peachtree Pkwy (141) to East Jones Bridge Rd. and turn left...Follow this road and it will take you into the park. See the following links for map:

My apologies for not making FLY FLING 99. I do hope that I will be able to make next year's version. Unfortunately, when I got home early on Friday afternoon, I found a note from my wife stating that she had lost her job. Any thoughts about driving to the FLY FLING vanished right about then http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif
Consolation is that I am taking her to the Keys for recuperation. Wife, Kayak and I will be going next week for two days.
I do hope that I did not inconvenience anyone . Regards, DA

Sorry you couldn't make it. Was looking forward to meeting you. We did have a great time. I met others there for the first time after posting with them for 9 months. I continue to be thoroughly impressed with the tremendous pool of artistic talent and master craftmanship present within NGTO. We had 2 home-built driftboats at the Fling. Drifters boat is totally awesome and Richard brought his scaled down one-man drift and it too was just grand. WDN Flys wooden reel was passed around and some of us have already seen his nets. The talents of NGTO include painting, woodcraft and woodsculpture, flytying, rodbuilding, boatbuilding, reelmaking, netmaking, poetry, writing and others I'm sure that are as yet undiscovered. If an organizations most valuable asset is it's people, then NGTO is blessed beyond measure. Hope you can join us at some future event. Have fun in the Keys.

davida,
Most likely there will be a Fall Fling (I hope.) Maybe we'll see ya there.
Have fun in the Keys. If you flyfish while there I'll throw you a clue:
Anne's Beach -- mile marker 71
Be there at daybreak with heavy gear. I hope the tarpon are still there http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/wink.gif
There should also be a large barracuda there with a well-tied Ole Man Deceiver hanging from his jawbone.
Good luck.

The Keys will be a wonderful consolation!! http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif
The Hooch was good fishing, the Keys have GREAT fishing! Enjoy!
Well, thanks. I'll do my best to be at the next one.
I don't know how much fishing I'll do when in the Keys but I'll try to make a bridge at high tide at night and see if some 'poons will come out to play.
Will post a note when I get back. In the meantime, it's to the vise for some heavy duty tying- as if I don't have enough flies floating around the house already http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif
