Well, I couldn't find phlyster's post, so I'll comment this way.
The kid makes a good point. I've seen this myself, being a sometime worm fisherman and often wet wader. I usually just pass folks with a 'hi', occassionally a 'how they bitin?' for the reasons he pointed out. And some folks would just rather be left alone. I can respect that.
But with someone his age, there's no excuse for guys blowing him off. And certainly no excuse for intruding on him. Had he been 35-40, the guys might have still intruded, but might have been a little more willing to talk.
Phly, you and I don't agree on everything, but who does? You can fish with me anytime. I won't judge you for your age or lack of fancy equipment if you don't judge me for my worms or lack of fancy equipment.
Been wanting to dust off the old fly rod anyway - maybe you could give me a few pointers.

It's good to here from you again, don't go so long between post next time. I was begining to wonder what happend to ya!!

Phlyster, I may be twice your age but from what I can tell you seem to be pretty knowlegable about fly fishing, so anytime you want to go crawl through the mt laurel, just send me an e-mail, I'm ready.
I could probably learn a thing or two about my new favorite past time.
