View Full Version : Head Count for Nant. Trip
Everyone, we are real lucky that we have two folks that are going to cook dinner for us on the Nantahala Trip. Lady Jane and TangledAngler from the FAOL website are going to cook on Friday night and HoochRat is going to do one of his cajun dishes for Saturday night. We do need a new head count so they know how many to prepare for. Please state which nights you are going to be there. I would like everyone to donate some money so these folks are not out anything. They will let us know how much they spend and we will divide it by the number eating. I know it will not be expensive and guarantee it will be good. Please respond back as soon as possible.

I'll be up as soon as possible on Friday soloing it. THE OTHER EG has SALES to attend after Thanksgiving. I'll stay through Sunday.

Howdy...dont count me and my buddy in on the food count. We may/may not be staying Sat night. We will be down probably on Fri night...but dont worry about the food scene.
Besides I am always willing to pitch in if I take a nibble.
Just hoping the Ravens Fork fishes better this time around than the time we were there.
DONT FORGET YOUR WADING BOOTS!!!!! (just a little reminder).
Oh and I have a new campchair so I wont have to lay flat on my back this time.

For anyone that wants to know the menu for Friday night it's gonna be Grilled chicken, potato salad, baked beans, and desert. Nothing fancy just good ol southern fare. I am worthless at work, all I want to do is get up to the Nant!
I might be there with my brother, I'm not real sure but I should know by tues or wed for sure. I will be heading back friday night, just going up for the day. I will actually be driving up thurs night.

Saturday Night's Menu:
New Orleans Red Beans and Rice.
Bread Pudding with rum sauce. cause it easy to carry to the camp grounds and it will keep in the ice chest.
(someone took my rabbits and the quail did not want to die) I will cook the food here at home and bring, that way maybe I will get a picture of me taken... Ha..
Besides, Owl would think the rabbits were cats.
Oh, head count. I will be bringing friend from work and my baby son.. Total of 3 for Friday night, 2 for Saturday.
Should get to camp on Friday morn before 9:30.

what, no fish for dinner ? may have to have one or two for lunch......naaaaa, too lazy for that.
can't wait to get to the mountains cause,...uh...uh-oh,....I mean to say that the mountians STINK, and I can't believe I'm going to spend the night in them. Man, I'd rather be fishing the Hooch, sleeping under the apartment lights, and breathing the lovely smells of sanitation and carbon monoxide.

Looks like I won't be able to make it. Two overnight trips on either side of Thanksgiving was just too much for the wife to bear. Maybe I'll see you on the club trip to the Hi.

Grizz...talked to RK late late last night and he'll be here on Sat..also Boxcar and Slic. I need someone to count I think I've run out of fingers and toes. Where is Tropic??? Hopefully not stuck in Costa Rica! Have you heard from him? We ate his pecan pie...guess I gotta get in gear and bake some more.

LJ I didnt know RK was coming down. That is great. My only problem is that I know have to leave Sunday. Have work thing to do on Monday, but I will stay late on Sunday.

I will be on the river Friday but will not be staying overnite. Y'all say hello if you see me, dark red expedition, at lunch I will be the one eating a turkey sandwich. Wednesday morning's weather is predicting rain, the good fishing may get even better.
