Orvis Days is Saturday March 11th. Many speakers, including Jimmy Jacobs, will be speaking throughout the day. I think that there will be some specials deals too.

The tent sale is the weekend of March 16th - 18th. Last year it was held at the Gwinnett Civic Center. I don't know anymore than that. Will post when I know more.

Thanks alot. Since Owl doesn't have a job but likes to throw line, I'll have to get there early. Yes, it is at the Gwinnett Civic Center. Starts on Friday, 17 March. Work has me in Ohio that week and I wasn't scheduled to come back until Friday PM. The red eye it is for me.

For those who did not partake last year, you do not want to pass this one up. All orvis gear is on sale, not just fishing. Hel*, my wife, who does not fish, spent more money than I did and even went back to get more. When the VISA bill arrived, she had to gall to ask me what new rod I bought. When I reminded her of the sale, She simply said "Just getting even"

**** , I love my wife.

Well, I'll be there like I thought - 9am Friday...anyone wanna have breakfast before hand? Thought I'd go poke around Smiths after the thing to see the current "state of damage". I tell ya, I don't know what's happened toour DH program this year... http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/frown.gif

Anyway, Does anyone know if there is an " entry fee" or anything?

Thanks,

hahahahaha !!!!!!!!

Well, if this year holds true......other than DH, a 12 inch fish will feel mighty big on a tiny rod.....and it's not Woody's fault..............................it's Grizz's and Lady Jane's !!!! http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif

Anybody know what times this sale is running? I'm hoping to get by there after work. Hopefully they stay open late enough!

Hey! I had to pay $2 for my Mirage tippet! http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif
Oh well, a heck of a lot cheaper than $10.

KB, don't feel cheated a friend of mine went Saturday and paid $3.00 for Mirage. Best deal that I heard of was a guy bought (2) 10wt tridents (for the Hooch?) reg. $470.00 each for $250.00 each and a Vortex reg. $615.00 for $307.00. I saw his receipt.
The best was the $1.00 tying bins.

Had to see this thing for myself. Same problem as the Primer. It's tough to rifle through bin after bin of fly tying materials with two kids and try to keep them in line. So I just said the hell with it and let them run amok. I had stuff to get.

I'll be there Friday morning next year. Alone.
