I can't find am email address for Sid so I'll ask this here.

I wanted to know how the fish were biting at the TU KFD last month. I previously posted this question. I was wondering, because the stockers were slow to start biting at last year's NGTO KFD, if it would be better to do one of the two stocking on Friday afternoon instead of both early Saturday morning.

That might give the first group of stockers more time to acclimate to their surroundings and therefore bite better for the kids. The concern that Bill Couch expressd a while back was that the first group might disperse too far before morning. I thought a small amount of fish pellets might keep them chummed to that area for the night.

If the fishing last month was slow also, it might be worth the experiment.

Was anybody at the KFD last month that could at least comment on the quality of the fishing.

If we did stock on Friday night I realize it might be only me and Bill Couch there but I would be willing to buy refreshments after the stocking for volunteers (if you get my drift). Three Dollar Cafe is about a half mile up the road.

Eg, I still think they'd spread out...unless I can get off and spend the ngiht streamside and feed them a little every few minutes! http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif
I think they'd naturally roam if it's as slow moving as I have heard....maybe we should throw pellets as the kids fish. That's kinda hokey though I guess...

Bill Couch emailed to say that he thought the KFD last month was a little slow. He thinks that it may be better if the weather is rainy or overcast so hope for poor weather http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif. He also said we would have to probably stock at midday on Friday so I don't even support that. I was hoping for more of a "Happy Hour" time. I concede the idea.

See everybody signed up to stock at the hatchery at 6:30AM on Saturday. Scrounge and bring your buckets. They are always needed.

Owl, if it will turn on the fish, I like the idea.
