NGTOoids,

It would be nice to get a head count for food purposes. Who all is going and how many people will you bring?

Cocoon and everybody else,

We need side dishes, condiments, utensils and such. NGTO is funishing the burgers and hotdogs. If folks would start naming what they will bring, others can get an idea what is still needed.

Just a sidenote on the peculiarities/differences of gender. At the last fling at Jones Bridge, most women brought fruit or vegetable dishes. Most guys brought desserts or chips. So unless the trend changes, expect to be eating a burger and a brownie as your nutritious lunch. http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif

I'll bring potato chips. http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif

HoochRat

Will bring plastic forks spoons etc. Have a large box left over from last years trip on Haws.

Count me in! Maybe "The Wife" will want to come too.

I've been told that I make the best baked beans this side of the Chattahoochee. Well, at least the Fulton side on Jones Bridge. So, if that's cool with you guys, that's what I'll bring.

I know what you guys are thinkin', but don't worry. It's not an overnighter. http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif

Owl, KB, etc..: You floating or wading>? Wanna meet up before the fling as we did the previous year to fish the lower shoals>> I enjoyed the snake dance last time.

Jah.... all I can think of is the campfired scene from Blazing Saddles....

No, sorry. I don't want another episode of " Snake Dance in the Fog!" thanks. I wouldn't be opposed to making it an all day thing though if some want to show up early to tie or whatever. http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif
I'll be there, and will be floating providing the river isn't mud. I'll bring some baked beans.... http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/wink.gif

No no, I'm kidding....
I'll bring some of my Mom's potato salad....I don't eat the stuff, but my wife who is a bonafide potato salad conisuerre( or whatever.....i can't spell it ) says it's the best in the whole world. Yeah, ...it looks like cold dog vomit to me. http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif hahahaha

( sorry if you have a weak stomach, there folks.)

Anyway, I hope to alos bring some stuff to give out, to make things a little more profitable for those attending......some tying stuff( that I don't use), some PC games, and some books...including, "On the Spine of Time"...

It was as good as you guys have been saying it is....and if you win it, and have won it, you can hand it to your neighbor, I suppose. http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif

I'll bring some chips or something. Re: Owl bringing stuff. I will step in softly here and say that anyone so inclined to do so may bring a door prize for the drawing that will be held. EG has brought some Braves tickets in the past. Last time, Drifter brought a box of flies he tied. Others have contributed as well. In that vein, I will be donating a book for a door prize- "Fly-tying tips and Reference Guide" by **** Stewart.

sorry! I'll be on the road that weekend... working. http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/frown.gif that stinks!! but hey, if we just happen to be taking our break in Dallas, Ga like we do at least two or three times a trip during that time frame, I'll drive right over!! I'll even wear regular clothes and not show up in uniform causing a scramble from the table... hell I might even bring my flyrod... chances of all that coming together, though.. slim to none darnit.

You guys have fun! One of these days you will hold an event I actually have a chance in hell of making... I just know you will!!

Count me in. However, this will be my first attempt at flyfishing so you will also have a comedy to watch after eating! Since the request for vegs and salad were just soooooo numerous last year, I guess I will bring some type of chips & dip.

Btw Owl...thanks for the wonderful and beautiful description of the potato salad. I'm sure we will all be running over to have some of that now! However, I have 3 dogs and you do have a point! Umm...did I just say you made a point? Geeze...it must be getting late! :)

I was able to talk our local Costa Del Mar rep into "donating" a pair of "Wave Killer" sunglasses as a door prize for the fling. They have the amber polorized glass lenses with anti-reflective coating. I have the exact same pair and believe they are the best polorized sunglasses I have ever had, which has been many. Owl.....can I get a witness? http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif

The only catch was to post their website on the board so here goes: http://www.costadelmar.com/

I know you don't know me; having just recently discovered this bbs, but I would be interested in stopping by for a while, (have to work in the afternoon), if this is acceptable? Am a semi-novice angler who still spins, but has just started tying my own flies, (only about ten WB's so far).
Would be interested in the speakers/ demonstations(?), and whoever's brain I could pick. Would try to bring something.
