I will be fishing the Hiwassee River in TN. the first week of November I want to to be sure I have the perfect bwo for the trip. I am going to the vise on Sat. to tie all day.
What do you think I should tie the most of?

I'm a novice, but I didn't know there were different BWO patterns (besides a parachute and std pattern). I'm interested in this question you raised because the BWO hatches I've seen here bear little resembance to the BWO patterns in my books or in the fly shops. They are dun and olive, while the hatches are white or cream (I am partially color-blind, so I may be off here). They certainly aren't nearly as dark as the std Blue Wing Olives.

Try smaller (16 - 20) Sparkle Duns and olive RS2s. Take some Beadhead PTails
also. If the sun is shining, it might be a slow
BWO day.

What, pray tell, is an RS2?

A mayfly emerger pattern. Look in the Orvis
catalog.
