I have a old bamboo fly rod with two tips.
The only thing written on the rod is; "Built by Bill McGuire for Dottie Dickinson"
7ft 1F 13/64 "3 1/8 oz"
I sure would appreciate any info or history on this rod.

Dottie ! MY MOM ! Well, not really. If you don't mind searching a little - there are lots of great antique tackle sites with message boards just for folks looking for answers. ot that we ind the ? here. It's just that soe of them have experts that REALLY know the antique tackle business. I'd give you the url's if I could remember them. Even so , maybe someone here can ID it . You could bring it to the Trout Primer at Buford Hatchery if your in the local area. ( Good catching and ********* ! )

Alan,
I know a man that might be able to help you identify your fly rod.Stop by and see Cal Parker jr. at Parkers Fishing Tackle Repair. Couldn't ask for a better bunch of people. His # is (770) 993-9096,located in Roswell. Also check out his custom rods, I own two,and they are a pleasure to fish with.(no kin,but they made me feel like family) GOOD LUCK!

Alan,

Come by the Shallow Water Expo this weekend & visit Ron Huff's booth. He's right next to the Unicoi Outfitter booth & his company name is Fly Fishing Classics & he specializes in old bamboo rods as well as classic reels.
