i fish a lot for trout during the warmer months( until this year on Smith's, thank you DNR ! ) It has been several, SEVERAL years since I was brave enough to try it on Opening Day. If the fish are still in the Nymph - mode, and won't come to my Caddis( no matter how hard I beg) what fly is sure to knock 'em dead? #14 black stone...BHHE....BHZB......prince nymph? Thanks in advance , Experts !!!!

Owly:
I seeing more and more testimonials singing the praises of a gl****bead caddis. Wonder if anybody has tried one?
Prefer gl****bead pheasent tails instead of non-bead head or bead head types.
Red, copper, blue seem to be the best producing ones.
I picked up a mess of them at a sewing store. Thousands for cheap. Those types of stores also have very flashy threads for tying wets, and for ribbing materials.
Just like picking up a 100 ft of miniture gauge copper wire at True Value for 1.75$ Beats paying $2.50 for 25ft at the flyshop.
