I was reading a earlier thread that you wrote about using a 4 foot leader. How much tippet do you use with system?

As much as you need. Depth wise. Current wise.
I'd have to kill you if I told you.
..
Ok, http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif , I usually use , let's see.....
a leader like this
....
leader . tippet here
-----------------/________
In general, when fishing dries, a 4ft. leader and a 1 1/2 to 2 ft. tippet section, usually 5X or 7X( dries).
Floatie is right, though, if I'm trying to fish deep water or fast current I go with a longer tippet section and a beadhead......but rarely longer than 2 1/2 ft. http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif Hope I answered good enuf. If not togh ! http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif No, email me if ya wanna know more about how I catch all those huge 6" trout on a tiny little 5 WT ! http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif hehehehe
