Lake varner?

Has anyone fished Varner this spring? If so how is it. I am thinking about going this weekend. Do you still pay ten bucks for use? Any info will be a help.

fished 2weeks ago bad front came and sent every thing deep did manage to catch one gill before the 20mph wind blew me away water was still a little cool for top water action stick to the dams and the bridge as far as the $5 fee for foreiners i have never seen any one collecting

The out of county fee is 5 vehicle + 5 to launch a boat. The box with permits is on the rt across from the gate to the water plant.
