Fluttering Caddis

mink?
A reference book on caddis claims this is an excellent pattern. I don't see many of these around. Anyone use these?

If this is a good pattern, any substitutions for mink?

K.B. and I have used fluttering Caddis on Dukes below the falls with some success. The only problem I can find with the fly is once it gets wet it is hard to dry and sinks easily. Unless you goop it real good with flotant it isn't the same once it gets slimed in a fishes mouth (although most flies are like this, this one seems more succeptible). KB has used them more often and I think he posted once about using them on Bear Den with good success.

P.S. we fished Bear Den on Tuesday and had a blast. We also fished dukes to Bear den with equal success. Let me know when we can go again.
