Life preservers/Chattahoochee

Since they require anybody wading in the area from the Dam to Hwy 20 to wear approved life preservers, does anybody have any suggestions (for the budget minded)? Regular vests seem awful bulky and those nice inflatables seem a bit pricy.

HNeal -- I found a light weight vest-type jacket in Olive drab and tan at Walmart for $12.95 regular price and once saw them on sale for $9.95. I picked up a couple. They're made of closed cell foam similar to the much more expensive Stearns jackets. They're flat and not too bulky and very comfortable. I found them perfect for tubing.

Thanks Mr T. I checked out Walmart, etc. but being hunting season, they didn't have any of their life vest out. Went to B****Pro Shop (may the almighty Orvis forgive me), found a Stearns marked down to $14.99, khaki colored nonetheless. Now I'm legal, even if won't help catch fish
