My nephew wants "hertz" hackle 4 christmas!
I'm new to tying so does anyone know where I
can aquire this type of hackle?

Jetguy -- Are you sure you cousin doesn't want Metz hackle rather than Hertz. If so, Unicoi Outfitters has it at reasonable prices for good quality. I think I paid $19.95 for a grizzley neck with a huge assortment of very good feathers. You can also order from Cabela's if Unicoi is not convenient for you. Cabela's has a website at
