I've been to the page and it Kicks ! I only wish I still tied. I was telling the Ole Man that the flies I used to tie, looked like something to be stepped on and killed before they multiplied ! Great looking page and AWESOME flies !
Many many thanks to Drifter. Great page and the swap was a lot of fun. I should be done with my flies for the caddis swap this weekend.

Swappers and Swappettes,
The NGTO Fly Swap Page (still under construction) has been updated with pictures of your flies. Click on the fly photo by your name to see your page with a large fly photo, your ugly mug (if you sent me one) and fly recipe. If your recipe/short story is not listed, send it to me via email. You can also email me a photo of yerself striking a fishing pose and I'll post it on your fly page.
If the link to your page is not working or I have mis-typed your drivel, let me know and I'll change it.
Thanks for your participation and support. It was fun!

Drifter -- Another super job!!! The photos are great but I got to tell all those who didn't participate that they don't do justice to the flies in real life. The collection that those of who participated wound up with is truly awsome. We've got some really talented tyefliers on this board.

Since you're finishing already, don't you want to tie mine this time. Your Filoplume was the best one could ever hope to see. The dubbing and ribbing were perfection. The proportions and overall look were grand. Where did you take your lessons? Or, are you like me-never had any.
Drifter,
Great job. Like this board, your site is among the best on the Net! All the flies are top knotch. Thanks to everyone.

Thanks for the kind words, I have been tying for several years but never considered myself anything but average. I learned from books and later videos. I will fish with pretty much anything that comes out of my vise but I don't think I have ever been happy with a fly I was giving away. Your Madam X was a very impressive fly, extremely well tied. All in all several of the flies I received were as well tied as any I have ever seen and the less experienced tyers also put out some fantastic work. I would not hesitate to fish any fly I received. This swap was my first and great fun. Drifter did a tremendous job and Michale's photos were terrific. Thanks to all.
BT,
Your fly is fantastic. should it be fished with or without floatant?
KB
I've never fished it on top, always dead drifted it as a nymph or with a little twitch but I like the idea of floating it in the surface film I think i'll give that a try next time I go.
My caddis entry is finished, now all I need is a picture that won't melt Drifter's scanner (may have to be of someone else) and i'll be all done except for the waiting. The waiting is the hardest part and it'll be even tougher this time after seeing what a great job all you guys and gal did last time!
Field tested the scorpion nymph today. Works great. Landed several fish but missed a lot more. Most smacked the fly. Interesting to see your strike indicator go upstream (that means set the hook).

Netboy,
Funny you should mention David's Scorpion Nymph. I went to the Fishhawk today and bought the ingredients to tie the thang. Somehow I knew that pattern would be effective.
Thanx again for being our Fly Swap photographer.

Occasionally I let a secret out of the bag. Wait until the caddis swap is over. I have a little nymph I have been fishing on Smith's creek. First time 30 fish w/ two over 20" and 2 over 18". Second time 15 fish, 1 at 19", lost a second similarly big fish. I fished it in tandem w/ a pellet fly, (I asked the game warden if that was OK, and it is.) and the nymph out caught the pellet 5 to 1.
David I love that scorpion nymph, it's one buggy looking fly. Looking foward to your next offering.
