View Full Version : LIL' help on Hodgman
Hey folks sorry to bring up waders again, but I need just a little help. I found a store out here which sells hodgman waders and they are on sale (I think). The wadelite breathables are 139.99 and the Wadelite 2 waders are 159.99. They also have a pair of Bare spring creek models for 199.99. I origianlly thought the Hodgman waders only cost 129.99, but the store had them marked as 159.99 normally. Are these all pretty good deals? I have looked all over the internet and cannot figure out a normal price for any of these. What is the BPS price? Secondly, Is there a $30 difference between the Wadelite I and Wadelite II models? What about BARE? Are the Hodgman Classic Boots a good deal at 59 bucks b/c they look like a comfortable and well made shoe. Please help. Sale ends tommorow. Thanks in advance,

Yah those are pretty good deals. My wadelite non-breathables list for something like $120. they have held up very well. Bare makes a good product from what I've heard but you can't go wrong with Hodgman. On the shoes I have no info. I use $20 hikers from Wal-Mart with indoor carpet on the soles.

Cabelas sells the Hodgman Wadelite Breathable Supplex for $139.95. I'm not familiar with the Wadelite II. The Hodgman "Bantam Weight" boot is the no.1 seller at National Feather Craft as per their catalog. These are $59.95. Haven't seen the "Classic". I use the Hodgeman Lakestream Cordura Lightweight. Identical to Orvis Lightweights except for color. LL Bean sells these for $55. Orvis gets $75 for theirs. I get mine for $39.95. There are a ton of names to choose from and everyone has a favorite. Ditto the waders. Thats all I can tell you. Saw a stream report on the Yellowstone River last night. Said it was running at 15,000 CFS. Another flood is feared there. You'd better leave that one be. http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif
Paid 150 for mine a yr. ago from BPS. Check www.Discountflyfishing.com (http://www.Discountflyfishing.com) ! Not sure if they have 'em , but if they do , they'll be cheap !!!! http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif I think you be gettin a good deal. It's all relative to who you get them from and at what time of year. You might want to check out anyone's " close-out" rooms on-line or at stores.
