Would anyone recommend these? Discountflyfishing.com is offering them for $49.95, including shipping.

I looked at these up at Jimmy's. Main objection is that you have to unscrew a nut to remove the spool-a nut that can come loose and easily be lost. Still, they are pretty popular on VFS auction-draw a lot of bids when one shows up. At least one a week has been showing up there.

You don't have to remove that nut to change the spool. You just loosen it and the spool slides right over it.

I was talking to my Dad about them He was concerned about the click drag (I think that is what it had). He said that if you use it for saltwater that there is a chance that the drag is not the best to have.
Opinions????

I don't no about you right coast salt water fishers, but out here on the left coast in CA fishing for surf perch and halibut, you do need more drag then most click pawls have to offer.
