I've got a brand new float tube and I'm trying to find some folks to start floating with.

I drive a van - good for running shuttle. I've done some serious kayaking for several years, so I'm comfortable in moving water.

I was hoping to find someone to go this Friday afternoon or anytime Saturday.

Anybody available ? You can post here or e:mail me.

Would you be floating the Hooch near the dam? I usally float the sections between the dam and McGinnis and my wife would appreceate not getting rousted out of bed to help me drop a truck off.

July will be tough for me to get together .....unless you want to take that tube to the White River in Arkansas on July 9 and return on 7/12. Camping at Bull Shoals state park, etc. etc.

Bob, put me on your list of folks to call when you get back. I'm willing to float anything, really, flat or moving, but I'm mostly interested in the Chattahoochee - any section.

Have a safe trip to Arkansas and let us know how you did !

If they will ever quit releasing water, I might be interested in a JB to HB float on Sat.

MBA and I finally hooked up. Saturday AM is a possibility - depending on the water levels.

We were looking at floating to dam to 20, but I think we are flexible.

We will keep and eye on the water and post here. Right now the dam recoring is 24 hrs till further notice. Arrrrrrrgh !

Wont be much longer now. No real rain in the forcast, and they dropped the lake a full 1ft this week.. I think they just might stop for the weekend. Dont hold me too it, but i would'nt doubt it..

You know where i'll be if I can help it...lol If they stop that is.. If they do you wanna venture out there for the evening?? Also depends on the release schedule.. My SB location is out till my friend gets back in town. Dont know his neighbor that well to be walking thru his back yard.. Keep your fingers crossed and if it works out we'll pluck all the fish out of FW's hole since he's playing mountain man this weekend.. http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/biggrin.gif

Bum, I drove over Medlock and the water looked pretty muddy. Thinks I might head up to the dam. Tried your #, but you must not have paid your bill, lol. I'll be around another hour or so if you want to call.

JBRR

Anybody else going up to the dam today?

Glad you had a good time, better than I did. It was just me and about 50000000 other folks at the dam. Real slow, they wanted stuff in the 22-26 range and I only had a couple in that size. Sun, I'm going to try to get to JB/DD or something, give a holler if your going today.

Hey, bpal, hope you are doing well. We're still waiting for some stories and photos from your trip! I was wanting a tube all along. Had to have a birthday as an excuse to get one.

MBA and I floated from the dam to Hwy 20 with Sam, Steve, Aaron and Don ( they were on pontoons ) from AFFC on their monthly trip. The water was COLD and unbelievably clear up there. I SAW a bunch of fish, but didn't catch squat. I think they were all swimming around wondering where all the water went after so many days of 24 hr generation. Oh well, looking forward to going back soon and getting the hang of fishing up there.

The tube was a LOT of fun !

ps: bpal, is your old e:mail address still good ?
