Gents,
Finally have a weekend off and am looking to hit a creek/river somewhere in the Atlanta area this weekend. A buddy and I both have brand-new floattubes and are looking for suggestions on good water this weekend.
I've usually fished below Buford Dam, but I think that's going to be destroyed by all the rain/release this weekend. Any other suggestions up in the mountains, etc?
Thanks, guys.

Jscott,JoshB,BornagainFFer,Wiseacre, Et. Al. Before selecting a stream or river to float/wade/fish........ July 3-6, I would suggest placing a call to ONE or BOTH of Unicoi,s shops, and get a flow/level count on these Mtn. waters! I live 5 min. from the Hooch,@ Helen, and my rain guage registered 4.5 in. Tues/wed.! The clouds are clearing out here Wed. afternoon, but a check on the automatic stream measuring stations show record high flows and guage heights for the Chattooga and the Tullalah! Since the ground was saturated before this downpour, it may run off quickly, but a call will put you in touch with those who HAVE to know the conditions!....... May just save a wasted trip, or at least put you in a position to be safe on larger waters! The only thing more valuable than our quarry, is the informed C&R fisherperson! Regards, Rockeroy of Clarkesville {Helen shop= 706-878-3083}..... They can give you the Blue Ridge #..... Metrela.. mgr.

RocketRoy,
Jimmy just sent me an e-mail, about these high water levels. However we are going fishing tommorow no matter what. LOL! We may end up going bass fishing with the fly tommorow if the water is too miserably high. Is the rain ever gonna stop coming.... maybe!
