There was once a body of water that vanished into the woods. It came from the high land and trickled down through the table lands. It flowed under the bridge and into the sun.
One day, the water vanished. It no longer stood at the edge of the trees. It refused to grace the shadows of the pines. All was not lost, though. Things would one day be the same as they once were.
One day, the water began to form. One day, the trees once again began to cast their shadows upon the face of the water.
Men came in trucks and filled the water with small finned creatures. Small green and black torpedos, small little dish-like darters, and slick backed, whiskered swimmers.
The little creatures swam off into the depths of the liquid.
The word was spread that the m****of water had returned, and with new life at that !
Later that year, someone who was visiting the wonderful sparkling oasis saw something. Something unusual. Something large. A dark shadow under the surface. A large, dark, shadow crusing slowly under the glassy ceiling, where small conifers were trapped and drowned when the pool increased to it's new and wonderful state.
The large, dark shadow ( it is rumoured ) was lured out of the sparkling jewel and made to pose for many flashing lights and wide open eyes. As he posed for the click-click-clicks, he seemed to whisper . .. .I . . was . . not . . .alone. . . . . . . . http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif
