I was out trying out a stretch of stream that I had learned of recently...The guy told me that the hole was 43 paces from the bridge at coulee creek and baker creek...on the right side...I walked it out.....TWO trees down in the water...Recent falls...Lots of small branches in the water....The hole looked about five foot deep near the center...I could not get a good cast with my spinner or plug baits....I tried and hooked up a couple times....I was sick of this hole and went out on the dead falls to collect my lures that I had put in the dead falls so well...I had to walk right out over the hole to get the spinners/plugs...Four to be correct...I was out on my tip toes trying for a spinner on a way out branch and......THE WATER BELOW went crazy.........The trout left the hole like its tail was on fire.....It is not an inch under 26 inches ....closer to 28-29....A MONSTER......Going there on Sunday....Any suggestions how to get her out of there....NO DYNAMITE...Could lose my job over her....CLEARLY the largest small stream trout I have ever seen...........spinner.....

I went to the hole again on Sunday...Decided I was not stealthy enough the last time there...crawled the last 15 yards...The snow and mud made it interesting..Had my waders on so I didn't get too wet...It was early morning..20 minutes after light...If you saw the hole you wouldn't believe it held any trout...let alone a monster..I floated a size 5 floating gray/white rapala to the hole..I twitched the plug a couple times with no luck..You just can't cast in the hole..Not with a plug or a spinner...I just layed there for a while to see if there was any activity in the hole...It was alive with trout..This hole is a worm only hole...That doesn't open again till first week of May...Going to leave the hole alone till then...spinner....Maybe a fly angler could slip something in there but....you have to horse it out right away..spinner........
