That's how I felt when I was actually able to kneel on a rock below a spillway at Nancytown Lake near Cornelia, GA and scoop up a rainbow with my bare hands! I have a witness...my spouse! I've always wanted to try that, and now I'll quit while I'm ahead!

Don't be giving Night Owl any ideas. http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif Obviously this was not a trout of the "wary" variety.
Well, you may not belive this, but we have each other as witnesses.....At Smith's the other day, Icthus and I managed to trap a 18-20" rainbow and catch it bare handed after it slipped out of Icth.' net. We wanted a pic. and got it. Then we slipped the lttle ( ?) guy back to his hiding spot and hoped no one else will find him ! http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif

Actually the rainbow was with two buddies, and they were all facing upstream with ONE thing on their minds--food. I think I just caught him off-guard. Just as I had the wiggling fish in both hands, my husband came across the footbridge saying, "what are you doing?" I replied, "fishing!!!"
I need to start taking pictures of some of the fish I caught. I have hooked a couple of nice fish I would like to get a picture of. Since I never take them home no one believes me unless they are there to see it. I will agree that there is nothing better than hooking a nice fish and to have a witness. I also need to get a good one on the photo page.
Hear is a good question. When fishing alone how does one take a picture of the fish they have caught?

snowwis, Where I come from, fishing is done with a rod 'n reel http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif. There isn't such thing as an expert fish grabber, or is that what you are http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif?
jbyrd, I just hold them in my hand when they aren't to big, and you can work them to shore while there still on line, and lay them on the grass, and snap a shot.

Floater, I HAD already caught my limit with a spinning reel that particular day--just trying to help my husband catch his!! It was all in good fun. The expression on his face was worth it all!
Snowwhite http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif, Floatie was kidding you. Ya'll sound like fun folks. I like to have fun when I fish....if you ever hear someone in the creek hollerin or singin loud, it's prob. me !
Jbrd, here's how to get the pic !
Get a camera with a 10 sec. delay and put it on a rock, log, whatever , high enough to get a good kneeling shot....then catch the fish,...ease over to the camera and hit the button when the fish is tired at your feet ( or just before) and kneel, pick up fish, smile- click!- it takes some practice and some ot the pics don't turn out. The best way is to fish with a partner......right Ict.? http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif
