My season is over...

Well....today is the last day of season till March of 2000..Just got home...Will be dark in 20 minutes...Not enough time to throw on my fishin stuff and cast for 10 minutes...It is OK........I offically ended my year yesterday..I fished all day...6am till 6:45pm..I caught...Caught 20 trout...Ranging from 5 inches to 24 1/4...Three brookies in 14 inch range and one monster Brown Male 24 1/4 inches...Caught fish on Panther Martins of course...The brown is at the taxidermists already....I will have to live through you GUYS till next MARCH.....spinner....

Come on down! Our fish aren't nearly as big but they sure are fun to fish for. Scoot your way down here to Georgia, we'll put you on a few for sure. Glad to hear about the brown, what a trophy.

Sorry to hear your season ended, but I suppose with your Wisconsin weather there really isn't much choice, is there? Down our way the crowds thin out dramatically when the overnight temps drop into the 40's and virtually disappear when they hit the 30's, and that is almost as bad as it gets.

BTW - I know we share a love of Panther-Martins, but I saw something in a new catalog that I gotta try. It looks like a spinner/balsa minnow combo, only no balsa - it's a lead body, with an attractive finish and serious epoxy coating, some mylar-type hackle over the rear treble, and a Mepps-type blade. I forget the upper weights available, but they started at 1/8 oz. I will have a supply soon, even though I've used ff tackle almost exclusively this year.

Keep us posted on the ice fishing! Or pack a bag & take a mid-winter vacation to the sunny South; we'll keep the fish warm for ya'!

Yes...I go ice fishing for northerns and walleye. Have caught some good sized northern through the icce...Heck of a rush...Kinda boring though...spinner...
