Phlyster, dude...I'm thinking its about time you looked for a girl friend. Looks like you have way too much time on your hands here! Are you really that hard up for some fishing tales?
FlygURL...does the Georgia Women Flyfishers have a personals department? Maybe you could hook him up with someone.

Physter, my suggestion would be......if you want to keep enjoying flyfishing, hold off on the girlfriend for a little while. I haven't had time to fish since Father's Day, but I some how find time, to attend "Longaberger" basket parties, and furniture building, my honey-do list is massive, I asked myself the other day, "how in the hell did I get here!" I hope to find time this month to wet a fly. It seriously looks like the only time I have is the weekend of the 23rd, that is if I can talk my friends into camping near a trout stream.
On the upside however, the time I spend with her is greater than any trout stream. I wouldn't trade it for anything, I'm just iching to go fishing.

Yeah, I'm not ready to get tied down. I didn't say I was in the first place, just that dating a teenage fishing gal would be cool.
Any cuties out there? http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/wink.gif
Maybe I'll teach B. how to FF. Maybe not, she is just as busy as myself.
Here is a story for ya.
June, 1990 I flew out of Atlanta, Ga. in route to Great Falls, Montana. Once I landed, we drove North towards Canada. After hitting the duty free store we crossed the boarded and the adventure began. My uncle who lives in Medicine Hat Alberta invited me up to do some fishing and basic guy stuff for two weeks. First week we chased perch, walleyes and the mighty Northern Pike. Lakes up there where a dime dozen, and full of fish. One lake yielded 3-5 lb. pike per cast. It got to the point where we would have to take breaks in between fish, mostly caught on spoons. Then we packed the car and headed West out of Medicine Hat towards the Canadian Rocky's. Talk about beautiful! Middle of June, snow everywhere, more wildlife than people, breath taking to say the least. We ended up in Banff in a hotel which was our base camp so to speak and each day we headed out to different spots to trout fish. A stream here or there, a lake, a river. I can't remember any of the names and I'm sure most didn't even have a names. 22' trout here and there. Sometimes we would share the stream with an elk about 50 yards away walking by or whatever. Amazing how big these animals are, sometimes we would have to stop the car to let them cross the road 10 at a time. Big horn sheep were seen in the hill. One time we were hiking up this mountain in the Rockies, I don't know the elevation but I know we were up there. Trying to get to this lake that sat up there when altitude sickness hit me like a ton of bricks! If you have every had this you know it's no fun. Needless to say I had to hike down the mountain through 3 feet of snow, and laid in the car till we got back down to Banff. I was sick for about 36 hours before it wore off. Still a great trip all the same. I would suggest that trip any day and I'm waiting for my Uncle to call and invite me again. J Byrd.
