my first steelie

my dad and i headed up to new york for spring break to the NCAA wrestling tournament. we took a side trip and went fishing on the Niagra River...talk about a fun time!! i ended up w/6 fish. this was the largest...approx 15lbs. the smallest fish of the day was about 6lbs. we were drifting egg saks and skeins. if you head up there, you should check out the fishing.

Nice fish! I caught my first steelie about a year and a half ago from Lake Erie. Man, what a rush! I went back last fall, and plan to every year. This year I want to try to get some on a fly, and I can't wait!
