My wife and I (and her folks, ow) are looking for a 1-3 acre lot on a N GA stream. With or without a cabin/small house. Anyone on the board selling property or have any friends who are? I have been looking at the ReMax listings and don't see quite what I am looking for. Cold water a must, if you get my drift (no pun intended)

Thanx

Not meaning to butt in, but I would like to get that stream property info also.

I wouldn't mind the same information as well. A few more hurricanes and we may end up drifting north just to find dry land again.

Thanks, Mike

Fishmeister has a lot on the Hiwassee (near Reliance, TN) for sale. I think it's about an acre for 25Gs. Not sure on the numbers....best contact him.

I just received a flyer in the mail advertising plots at a place called Anderson Creek Retreat. It is between Amicalola SP and Cartecay. The website states there are trout streams on the property.

Does anyone know anything about this place?

If you really want to get a broad picture, I highly recommend Louise McTaggert Realty in Blairsville. I have never had a realtor work that hard for me. They cover north Georgia as well as N.Carolina and Tennessee.

Now is definitely the time to be looking at property. You want the leaves off the trees so you can see what might be lurking next door. All those leaves and vines can hide a lot of eyesores.

And bring lots and lots of money! Mountain land is no longer a bargin and water front property goes at a premium. But. It remains a great investment. Afterall, where would you rather spend your weekend? In your own little creekside getaway or in the folds of few CDs and Stock certificates?!!

One unique property I know of is a development being worked by Bruce Hanson. Bruce was the original owner of Dogwood Riverside Inn. His current project is on the Toccoa downstream of Curtis Switch bridge with a lot of waterfront property. The unique approach is that while each home site has a water view, the actual water fronting property is held in common. That way, all the property owners have equal access to the river. There are also soom reasonable covenants keeping the investment sound.

Anyone have similar information for lakefront or streamfront property halfway in between nashville and north atlanta? I am looking to buy either some property or a house with some property. I definitely want to be on the water but I am not that familiar with the area. Let me know. Thanks.
