Bill Oyster of Oyster Bamboo Fly Rods is our speaker Tuesday, January 28th at the Chattahoochee Chapter of Trout Unlimited - CCTU. He is speaking on the construction and use of bamboo fly rods (www.oysterbamboo.com). CCTU meets at Manuel's Tavern at the corner of North Highlands and North Avenues. We get rolling about 7:00. Anyone interested in trout fishing is always welcome, and, those with a passion for bamboo really need to come for this session.
It's a new year and if you have been thinking about joining TU, or perhaps you're already a member, it is time to get active! We always have a good time at TU, but we also have a serious, science based, conservation agenda. TU is your opportunity to speak out with a strong voice that is heard in the halls of governments, and like it or not, that is where the future of trout fishing resides, with politicians. Take an active leadership role, get involved, and do something really positive for our sport. Come to CCTU or any Trout Unlimited meeting and talk to people who are leaders about what they put into the sport, how much they take away from it, and what that means to them. It is a great opportunity.
