Jones Creek

Hey TU guys/gals.. do you all still do stream improvements on Jones? Are you all still covering that stream? And which chapter does jones fall under ? and who could we contact in regards to this stream?

Reason for so many questions, is some of us wish to revamp adopting a stream, and one of the first things that must be done is research on which orgs are doing what where.. so any help/insight you all can provide would be greatly appreciated.

There was a TU Council meeting held this past Sat. in which every year at this time, stream projects are co-ordinated with the Forest Service for the year. I was unable to attend due to a prior commitment, so I do not know if there is a project slated for Jones this year, but if you go to www.georgiatu.org (http://www.georgiatu.org) you will find Ken Bradshaw`s contact info, who is Council Chair, and I`m sure he can help you. Also, Jim Wentworth ,who is with the Forest Service could also help, don`t have his contact info, but I`m sure the Forest Service has a website or phone # and could get you in touch with him, he is the guy you would want to talk to.

I just received a copy of the minutes from the last GA TU Council meeting that was held on Dec.13, and there will be a workday held on Jones Cr. on July 17, the Blue Ridge and Gold Rush chapters will be involved.
