It’s time to party!
The Oconee River Chapter of Trout Unlimited will hold its annual Bluegrass and Barbeque Banquet at UGA’s Flinchum’s Phoenix Whitehall Forest on Saturday, March 6, 2004 beginning at 5 pm.
The banquet will be held in conjunction with UGA’s Student American Fisheries Society. This is an opportunity to meet the future.
Admission $25.00 Students $10.00
The critically acclaimed BTUs (Bluegrass Thermal Units) will provide the Bluegrass. Critics say they are the “Best in the World.” (Sorry, Rabun Chapter but that’s what the Athens’ critics say.)
Back by popular demand --VANNA BBQ. John & Lane McGarity will cater our banquet and provide their world famous BBQ. You will not be disappointed. Folks, it’s really, really good!
We’ll have Live and Silent Auctions for more prizes than you can shake a fly rod at. We’ve got custom fly rod combinations, guided fishing trips, limited edition artwork, gift certificates and one ugly statue.
Yes, we’ll have it all at our annual banquet.
We’ll also have a huge assortment of items available in our bucket raffles.
We may have some surprise items….Have you heard of Dave Whitlock?
All proceeds benefit ORCTU stream restoration projects, conservation programs, youth education events and the ORCTU Endowment Fund.
