Jimmy:

I am going to teach my mom to fly fish this week-Spring Break- and am planning to bring her up sometime this week to fish Smith's. She doesn't have a fishing license nor does she have a trout permit/stamp.

If I just wanted to buy her a one day fishing license and a trout stamp would that cover her for the day?

What would the price be?

Josh,

A Georgia resident can purchase a one-day fishing license for $3.50. The trout license is $5.00. You should get her to strongly consider the annual license. Just $14.00 including the trout license and good for 365 days. Stop in when you come to town.

Ok, Jimmy. We'll try to stop by depending on time and all.

Thanks.

Was wondering how you did with your mom this week?

She did quite well for her first time. She caught her first trout, a beautiful stocked Rainbow. We stopped at The Lodge at Unicoi State park and got her Year-Round Fishing License as well as a Trout Stamp.

Will post pictures later on....
