Dear Jimmy Harris:
During the highly successful Georgia Trout Camp, one of the participants, a young girl about 14 or 15, caught an eighteen inch rainbow. For the remainder of the week the best the rest of the group could do was a few freshly stocked trout and lots of hornyheads and assorted minnows. This young girl was teased by the others and was questioned frequently as to her real ability.
In your expert opinion, was:
1. Was her success due to the $400 rod and top of the line reel?
2. Was her success due to the fact she had a professional guide while the rest of the kids were saddled with rank amateurs?
3. Or do you believe it was just dumb luck?
Yours truly,
Mentor Tom
