Hey Jimmy,

I read in the White County paper the other day that you may be getting new neighbors - a hotel, conference center, retail space, several hundred home residential development, and a new bypass around Nachoochee Bend. Do you think the developer will get favorable zoning and, if he does, how will it affect your operation?

Sorry, I missed your post earlier. The hotel/conference center and bypass have been a part of the master plan for Nacoochee Village from the beginning. It looks good on paper but I have no idea if it will ever materialize. The mountaintop behind Habersham Winery was cleared for this over 5 years ago and nothing has transpired yet. As for the residential development, that's fairly new. There's quite a bit of opposition from local residents so I don't know what the outcome of this part of the plan will be. That's a lot of homes.
