Hi Scott.
Thank you, we are very grateful to be celebrating our tenth anniversary. The sale items are at both stores, although we may not have the same rods at both stores. If there is a specific rod you are looking for, let me know and I'll see which location it's in. Also, you may register for September's weekly raffle of a trip to Nacoochee Bend at either store. Hope to see you around.

Please allow me to add my own congratulations as well. IMHO, Unicoi Outfitters has been one of the greatest additions to the Helen area since I've first visited way back in the mid 60's.
I recall visitng Helen before the renovation and always dreading our visit to the downtown area. Part of the dread was due to my mom's insistance of fitting our family with new school clothes at some of the local outlet stores. I never much cared for shopping even back then http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif. On one occasion I recall leaning against an outside wall of one of the buildings only to find my arms covered with soot which I figured to be from the trucks that used to drive through.
It has been such a blessing to see the transformation over the years. The Helen area appears to me to be the best of both worlds in that the natural attributes are beautiful, but the businesses have had minimal negative impact.
I kind of wonder if Unicoi OUtfitters is largely responsible for the apparent respect for and overall better stewardship for the resources by the community and visitors to it.
I have of late noticed similar areas in neighboring states that have beautiful and vast natural resources, but seem to only be interested in taking what they can from the land rather than re-investing into it. It has left many such areas looking as though they have simply been "prosituted" (dare I say raped and pillaged), for a few bucks. It's no wonder visitors treat some areas with no more respect than they often do especially when a community demonstrates no greater respect for themelves or their land.
Oh well, sorry to get off...let it suffice for me to say thanks to Jimmy and staff for all they are and all they have done to make Helen such an incredible place and blessing.
God Bless,
Mike
PS: I also wanted to say thanks for the continued blessing of the "Newsletter" it affors me one of the best fixes for being too far removed from trout fishing as well as one of God's most beautiful places on earth, Helen!
