what is the word on the creek and what are they hitting nowadays?

I fished it Sunday afternoon. Didn't have any interest at all until I switched to an olive woolly bugger. Then I started catching fish; a 22", an 18" and a 17" rainbow plus a few smaller fish. I had a great time. We got over 5" of rain Tuesday and Wednesday so there could be some major changes in some of the typical holding areas. A friend fished a different section than I did and he also caught some nice fish.

Jimmy, when will your water be fishable after this storm?? Looks like there's another coming, and also how does the fishing change after such a major flow change.. Are they in Tropical Shock??...lol

We should be fishing by tomorrow. This is personal observation only but I seem to find fish holding at the back of runs and tailouts for a couple of days after a big slug of water has come through. Where you would normally stand to cast is where the fish may be. If you're not careful, you'll spook them as you wade up to a hole.
