Planning to hit the WMA next Monday (weather permitting). Been a while since I've been up that way. Any fly suggestions?? I bought the Unicoi tying kit back in the spring and have had a blast with it this summer. Anything in particular that I should try to tie for the upper Hooch??
Thanks in advance,
bd

With all the rain and continued runoff we're having, I would probably concentrate on San Juan worms in pink and brown. Other than that, look for brown stones in a 10 or 12, pheasant tails, hares ears. Don't know if you'll get much action on top but if you want to try it, look for attractor patterns to probably be best. Good luck. Stop in to see us when you're in town.

Well...BD and I hit the river this past monday...and I got two. One on an olive bugger the other on PTsoft hackle.....and I found a copperhead....rather, one found me. Those things sure blend in well with the fallen leaves on the trails....everyone look down when you are walking up there http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/wink.gif

One of our regular customers came by the shop this afternoon after fishing the headwaters earlier in the day. His report was a very successful day with quite a few fish caught. Black stone nymphs, brown stone nymphs, woolly buggers, soft hackle pheasant tails and even some dry action on yellow humpies, parachute adams and Royal Wulffs.
