Smith's Creek Friday 11/19/04

A buddy and I are heading up for an afternoon of fishing on Smith's this friday and I wanted to find out how the fishing has been this week, and get suggestions on what to fish.

Don't waste your time at Smith's - only chubs in that creek! Check other posts - B983 (Brent) and Mike Smith will both be fishing up there Thursday, Friday and Saurday. Usual suspects work - WB's, San Juan's and Y2K's. But again - don't waste your time! :cool:

We had two guided trips there yesterday and they went very well. Everyone caught lots of fish and quite a few large ones. The infamous Y2K Bug was the hottest ticket but also big stonefly nymphs worked well; particularly the 20-incher. Fishing is good on all local streams right now and the scenery is beautiful. Great time to be in this area standing in a creek.

Thanks for the info. I'll be accompanying BigBen tomorrow up to Smith's. We'll see you before we hit the creek to grab some of those infamous Y2K's. You can't miss us: Ben's screen name is very appropriate. He's a big boy!!!

We caught a few , but probably would have done better if we hadn't of wasted our time at the Orvis sale. It was great to meet the some of you guiys up there. Brent I am shocked that you and I are still unharmed after the amount of time each of us has spent around B Kar Ma.

I went up to smith's on friday for the day and didnt have much to show for it. Caught four all on junk flies. Nothing to special. Just thought I'd spread the word.
