No wonder we can't catch any fish. From the new photo section ,looks like Hooker and Spinner have cleaned em all out.

Ole Man...I only keep about a tenth of the fish I catch...The fish down there...even the small trout would be considered trophies up here...I am jealous...The rainbows you and Aaron talk about have almost convinced me into making a long weekend....Four day trip..One day each to drive back forth and two days of fishing...I have a relative that lives in Riverdale, GA I could stay with...Are there any big Bows in that area????Spinner..

Imagine this : There is no river in Riverdale, there is no forest in Forest Park and East Point is on the west side of town. Don't know what they were smoking when they named these places. The only fish you might find in Riverdale is what we call a Bugle Mouth Bass- better known as a carp. Do you know that there is a book out titled "Carp On The Fly" and that an entire culture has grown up around flyfishing for carp. Even read some discussion on another board about carp fly patterns. Those are some nice fish pictures you sent in. I guess you're saying they didn't come from Wis. You mean you've been cleaning Canada out too. Have you thawed out yet??

Spinner,
The Hooch is about 40 minutes north of Riverdale. It looks like the Rainbow spawn is going to bust loose early this year. With no cold weather, the water temperature has not dropped, and the fishes reproductive systems are now in unstoppable forward gear. Usually the Rainbow spawn occurs about the first April, but I'm thinking maybe early March.
If your interested in some quality Rainbows, you need to make plans to come down during march or april, and let us show you what southern trout fishing is all about.

Hooker...I have the 20th of March till the 28th of March off...My wife is going on vacation and I have the kid...I think I could deposit her with a couple grandmas for two days...That would open up four days...What pound test and length/action pole do you suggest??? How about a few lure suggestions??I am going to Cabelas in two weeks to stock for Canada...Last time in Canada about the only thing I caught was a cold...All of my fish photos are from Wisconsin streams...The trip is starting to look like a possiblity...The grandmas would be the only stumbling block...I have no boat...I do have chest waders..spinner.....

Spinner,
I don't have anytime off during the week between those dates, but I can hold saturday the 27th open and take you than. Also, we can supply you with locations and baits if you want to fish during the week.
I use ten pound test Fireline with a six pound test mono leader for trout. The #5 Floating Rapala in silver and Rainbow trout is always good, and the silver #5 Shadrap is good for deeper water.
I also like the 3 1/2" Rainbow trout colored Yozuri suspending minnow.
For a rod, I like a 6 1/2' medium-heavy.

Spinner....Don't let Hooker fool ya....He is a true spin fisherman, but if ya look close you will find a flyrod in his boat. Seriously though...if you want to fish the Hooch with the man that knows it better than anyone eles....he's you ticket...and I guarantee YOU WILL CATCH FISH!!!

Now if you want to take a shot at some flyfishing let me know and I will set aside some time to do a wade or float trip with you. Come on down!....we would love to have ya fish in our neck of the woods. I have extra's of evey thing you will need to flyfish.

Hope to see ya soon.....
