View Full Version : Article on Ala. and Ga streams
I don't know if any of you guys have picked up the new article of AMerican Angler or not, but there is an article about b****fishing on the rivers in our neck of the woods. Our secret is out. There is a nice little section on the Flynt in it. Nothing that any of us did not know already. They don't reveal any spots, just helmegrite flys work good. Fishing on the Flynt should heat up in not too long. Just around the courner. The secret is knowing when to go. Like clockwork every year.

While we're talking about the Flint, I lost my access point above Molena a while back. I know there are some private ramps in that area and I sure would like to trade trips for access.

Shawn,
Could you describe the helgramite fly mentioned in the article? I've asked a half dozen folks and gotten a half dozen answers. Thanks in advance.

Anything that resembles a Hellgrammite will work pretty good. Shoal bas anen't all too selective. Find one you like in a tying book and go with it.
