Perch 'n Crackers

Not real warm water but,the perch have gone to the banks in the backwater lakes from boat ramp to Morgan Falls. Mostly all males.Also got a dozen bream from the same areas Sat. afternoon.

What were the perch biting? We tried minnows last summer and had some luck, but I would like to know if you catch any on artificial lures.

Danny,
The perch and bream we caught Sat. were on wigglers and pink worms. My son-in-law recently started tying flies, and has tied some white fly weight jigs that should work well, but I havn't tried them yet.The perch are right on the banks-1-2ft. deep.
