View Full Version : Hooker - Caught in the Act!
(Wonder what the search engines will make of this?)
Having previously exposed Dave (aka "Hooker", aka giant Rapala), as a closet flyfisherman, I now have documented evidence - http://www.mindspring.net/~kje/hooker_fly.htm
In the "I'm Back" thread, some of y'all asked about skipjack - there's a link to a photo of one here, too.
PS - This is for all the cr@# you give me about the fly rod, Hooker. But I know the truth - there ain't many ways of catching fish you don't like!
From the look of the cork on that fly rod i'd say he's been doing a lot of fly fishing, also that's a pretty big grin.

Was that photo taken just down below the stairs at the upper end of the Riverwalk? Tell us more about catching skipjack there. I end up working in Columbus occasionally and have a friend or two there that would love to give it a try. Would make a trip down from Palmetto worth it!
To be honest, it was my first trip to the area & I didn't pay much attention to the shoreline. Hooker can give you all the info - some of it is in the "I'm back" thread.

I took a look at Hookers info - wish I'd known about the skipjacks earlier - I definitely would have been there.
Hooker, would you mind sending me the additional information you offered in the other thread. I'd like to give 'em a try and have a friend in Columbus that I know will be interested. My e-mail is email@example.com.
My reputation as a diehard spinning guy has been vaporized! Since you handled those hybrid so good on a flyrod, I can't wait to see what you do with a magnum gar.
Buy some wire tippet.

I might be able to direct you to a reputable 12 Step Program to wean you of that nasty flyrod habit!
'Course I've dropped out of the cl****several times myself http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/wink.gif
