Anyone who frequents this board a member of the Fall Line Fly Casters or heard of it? I am in the process of relocating to Macon adn am definitely interested if someone could leave some info. Thanks a bunch

I'm not a member of Fall Line but have been meaning to meet with the group. I had some pretty serious health problems recently and decided to wait until I got over that before getting involved. The contact person for that group is Dr. Mike Peed. I had a number to contact him and seem to have lost it. Mike also shoots at our sporting clay club here so I can get his number there. As soon as I can get that number I will post or email you that info.

Sorry for the delay in responding. I had to getup with Dr. Peed to get the info and we kept missing each other. I'm going to try to send the info to your email since it is kind of lengthy. If you do not get it let me know and I will call or post on the board.

Sorry, I should have posted the info. The Fall Line Fly Fishing Club meets the second Tuesday of every other month. The next meeting will be June 8th at 7:00 pm at the Piedmont Orthopaedic Complex on Riverside Dr. Dr. Mike Peed is one of the officers and helps with programming and can be reached through his voice mail at the Piedmont Clinic at 912-474-2114. I talked to Dr. Peed today and he said the meeting in June will be on fly tying. There will be instruction and extra equipment available for anyone wanting to try it for the first time or learn some new techniques. Dr. Peed also said they would like to organize a fly tying cl****if enough people show interest. I know that would be helpful for others like me that would like some quality instruction but just can't get to Buckhead once a week through rush hour traffic. Spread the word. If you need any more info let me know.

Hi Banker, I am in Forsyth and know some folks here that fly fish. As I said earlier I have been trying to get up with the Fall Line group so I have not met any of the members yet. I'm guessing a lot of the group may not know about NGTO because when I mentioned it to Dr. Peed he did not know about it. I do know the group has some members that are with DNR Fisheries. That should be a good source of info for us in this area.

Now that I think about it, I attended a fly fishing club meeting in April (was on the second Tuesday), sponsored by Cane River Outfitters in Byron. I wonder if the club was the Fall Line club...

Probably was. I know Dr. Peed is associated with an Orvis store in Byron. They are just getting started and trying to boost "fly fishing" interest in out area. Tell anybody you know to come to the meeting and lets try to get something good going in Middle Ga. I get jealous reading all the posts about the stuff the North Ga. folks get to do and I can't make it to.
