Who were the big winners at Callaway. What was the magic-Clousers or Rubber Leg Dragons?

Just back from Pine Mountain. Saturday morning's fishing was disappointing. The windy and cool weather made boat handling difficult, casting messy (I heard one guy say he lost more flies that morning than the whole previous year), and the bite sluggish. Our boat did ok, landing 4 small b****and 1 monster bluegill. Half on poppers and half on olive BHWB. That seemed to be the average catch. I heard several reports of 17-19 points (4 points for bass, 1 for bluegill). The winners had 33 points (for comparison, we were told that the winners last year had 150, with many others >100) I don't know the winner's names, but apparently they are the same ones who had won the last few years. They were having the same luck as everyone else until the last 45 minutes where they finally found some bedding bream in the riprap at the dam.
In the afternoon we checked out the butterfly house and the vegetable garden. Both were pretty cool. If you go to Callaway go see both after your fishing trip.
We made up for our difficulties yesterday when we float tubed a pond right outside Pine Mountain. Jessica had 6 b****and a big bluegill. I had 5 b****and 5 bluegill. All the b****were relatively small but ferecoius. Jessica hooked into a big b****that pulled her around a bit before getting off. She had quite the adrenaline rush after that. Its a shame she didn't land it, I think it might have been her biggest ever. All in all a good day.
Ole Man-
The winners by a substantial margin, out of twelve teams entered, were Robert Hafner and Jeremy Loe. Their prize is a guided day fishing at Callaway Gardens, generously donated by the Callaway people. Second place went to Eric Cornwell and Kirk Drucker, who won the last two years.
The theme of the day seemed to be that most of us spent too much time fishing on top in spite of poor results, while the winners had sense enough to go deep early on. They did well with some kind of rubber leggedy nymph. The second place team made a charge late in the morning when they started drowning their hoppers, but it was too little too late.
A good time was had by all, in spite of the fact that it was cloudy, windy, and chilly all morning, and some money was raised for the AFFC and the Georgia Women Flyfishers. And after all, money's what it's all about (as the Ole Man would say: "Hehehehe").

Ole Man-
I just looked at the photo of a rubber-legged dragon in Kent's "Flyfishing West Georgia and Beyond" site. That looks about like what Hafner and Loe were using.
